Birmingham Faith in Action Leaders believe in developing their "relational power" as conduit for change. Often we hear stories of powerlessness from people, often because they are acting in isolation.  We not only acting together (in relationship), but courageously with our shared faith values. We believe that people from across socioeconomic, racial, religious, and regional lines mostly share similar values-- good paying jobs, better schools for their children, affordable housing, quality health care, and other staples of a dignified life.

Faith in Action leaders develop a habit of meeting each other for "one-on-ones" by meeting in homes, coffee shops, parks, museums, and other places throughout Birmingham.  Perhaps the African Proverb describes this organization the best, "If you want to walk fast, walk alone.  But if you want to walk far, walk together."  For more info, call (205) 253-6865 or email qrallins@birminghamfaithinaction.org
